Coupon Verification Policy

Coupon Verification Policy

Every coupon and deal on GetMePromo goes through a sourcing and checking process before you see it. This Coupon Verification Policy explains where our offers come from, how we test them, what our labels mean, and what to do if a code doesn't work.

Where our coupons come from

We gather offers from several trusted sources:

  • Official affiliate networks and merchant feeds — many codes and deals are supplied directly by retailers or their affiliate partners.
  • Retailer channels — public promotions from a store's own website, email and social channels.
  • Editorial research — our team adds and curates offers based on current sales and seasonal events.

How we verify offers

  • Checking. Codes are reviewed for validity, correct terms (minimum spend, eligible products) and expiry before publishing.
  • The "Verified" label. A Verified badge means the offer has been checked and is believed to be working. It is a strong signal, not an absolute guarantee — retailers can end or change a promotion at any time.
  • Community feedback. Shoppers can mark whether a code worked or didn't work. Those success/fail signals help us surface the best codes first and retire ones that stop working.
  • Freshness. Offers show recent update timing, and expired or non-working codes are removed, relabelled, or moved to an "expired" area rather than left to mislead you.

Types of offer

  • Coupon codes — a code you copy and paste at checkout.
  • Deals / sales — discounts that apply automatically with no code needed.

If a code doesn't work

Even verified codes occasionally fail — a promotion may have ended, be region-restricted, exclude certain products, or require a minimum order. If a code doesn't work:

  • Check the offer's terms (minimum spend, eligible items, expiry).
  • Try another code on the same store page — we usually list several.
  • Use the "didn't work" feedback so we can review it.

Honesty about commissions

GetMePromo may earn a commission when you use some of the links or codes on our site, at no extra cost to you. This never changes whether we label a code verified or how we rank offers for usefulness. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.
