Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

At GetMePromo, our goal is simple: help you pay less on the brands you already shop. This Editorial Policy explains how we research, write, review and update the content on our website — from store pages and category guides to our blog — and the standards every piece of content is held to.

Editorial independence

GetMePromo earns commissions from some of the retailers we link to (see our Affiliate Disclosure). That commercial relationship never decides what we recommend or how a store is described. Our editorial judgements — which deals are worth highlighting, how a savings guide is written, whether a coupon is genuinely useful — are made independently of any affiliate payout. If a code does not work, we say so, regardless of the merchant.

How we create content

  • Research first. Store guides and articles are based on the retailer's current policies, real sale patterns and hands-on shopping experience, not copied marketing copy.
  • Written for shoppers. Content is written to answer a real question — "when does this store have sales", "does it price match", "how do I stack this offer" — in plain language.
  • Reviewed before publishing. New guides are checked for accuracy, clarity and helpfulness by our editorial team before they go live.
  • Kept fresh. Coupons, deals and sale calendars change constantly, so pages carry the current month and year and are updated as offers change. We remove or relabel content that is out of date.

Accuracy & sourcing

We aim for every factual claim — prices, discount percentages, sale timing, store policies — to be accurate at the time of publishing or last update. Where a detail can change (for example a retailer's price-match terms), we encourage you to confirm it on the merchant's own website before you buy. We do not invent statistics or fabricate savings.

Our stance on quality

We would rather publish fewer, genuinely useful pages than thin, duplicated filler. We continually replace older templated content with original, brand-specific guides written to actually help you save.

Coupons & deals

How we source, test and verify offers — and what our "Verified" label means — is covered separately in our Coupon Verification Policy.

Corrections

If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, please tell us — see our Corrections Policy. We review every report and fix genuine errors promptly.
