LampsUSA: Lighting and Hard-to-Find Lampshades

LampsUSA has been selling quality lighting online since 1998, and it has built a particular reputation as the go-to source for lampshades - including the odd sizes and specialty shapes that are almost impossible to find elsewhere. Alongside shades, it stocks table and floor lamps, light fixtures, and home decor, backed by award-winning, personal customer service. If you have ever struggled to replace a shade or match a fixture, this is a genuinely useful store. This page keeps the current LampsUSA discount codes and deals together, and the guide below helps you choose the right piece and buy with your eyes open.

What LampsUSA Sells

The catalogue covers lighting from top to base:

• Lampshades: the specialty - drum, empire, bell, and clip-on styles in a huge range of sizes, including hard-to-find dimensions.
• Table and floor lamps: complete lamps in traditional and contemporary styles.
• Light fixtures: ceiling lights, chandeliers, and wall lighting.
• Decor and accessories: finials, harps, and the small parts that finish a lamp.

The lampshade selection is the reason most people find LampsUSA - if a standard store did not have the size or shape you need, this is where it usually turns up.

Finding the Right Lampshade

Buying a shade online is easy once you know the three measurements that matter, so measure before you order:

• Top diameter and bottom diameter - the width across the top and bottom of the shade.
• Slant height (or side height) - the length of the sloped side.
• Fitter type - how it attaches (spider/harp, clip-on, or Uno).

As a rough styling guide, the shade's bottom width should be about twice the width of the lamp base, and its height around two-thirds of the base height. LampsUSA's wide range of sizes means you can match these proportions properly rather than settling for "close enough."

Quality and US-Made Shades

Quality is a consistent bright spot in customer feedback. Many of the lampshades are made in the USA and described as well-made and high quality, and the wider lighting range is generally praised as good value for the price. For a functional item that also sets the mood of a room, buying a properly made shade that fits correctly makes a noticeable difference to how a lamp looks and how evenly it throws light.

Shipping and Returns - Know Before You Buy

A couple of honest notes will save you surprises. First, shipping can be on the higher side for larger or fragile items, so check the total at checkout - it occasionally adds up on bulky pieces. Second, be aware that when an item ships directly from a manufacturer, that manufacturer's return terms can apply rather than a blanket store policy, and some are strict about returns for box damage. The practical takeaway: measure carefully so you order the right item first time, inspect deliveries promptly, and read the return terms for your specific product before purchasing.

Styling With Lighting

The right shade and lamp do a lot for a room. Warmer, cream, or linen shades cast a cosy glow ideal for living rooms and bedrooms, while white or lighter shades give brighter, cooler light for reading and workspaces. Matching the shade shape to the lamp base - a drum for a modern base, an empire or bell for a traditional one - keeps the proportions right. Coordinating finials and harps is the finishing touch that makes a replacement shade look intentional rather than makeshift.
